A lead list is the beginning

Define the right businesses, review the evidence and give every follow-up a purpose.

A company name does not tell you whether the company is a useful prospect. A contact record does not tell you whether the person owns the decision. Those questions belong inside the research process.

Start by describing the business you want to reach: its market, size, location and the problem your offer addresses. Then review the results against that purpose. Keep the source and distinguish missing information from confirmed facts.

Buckley’s discovery workflow follows that sequence: define, search, review and select. The next step is a relationship with a reason to exist. Better research gives that conversation a stronger starting point.
